My point was that he doesn’t get a proper share if somebody buys one plan and makes/sells 1000 copies, from that one plan. Your way, he does get his cut.

If you're not tracking the blade with teeth off the wheel, then you likely need adjust nothing to check alignment,
i.e regarding east/west adjustments,
