Welcome home. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for serving. It's a blessing to our country to have people like you willing to serve. I hope your recovery goes well (I know you get addicted to the sand and such!!!)

Good luck on uncovering all your toys, I meant tools.

Nice looking tools there. Send them to me and I'll let you know how well they work!
Be a mentor, it's so much more fun throwing someone else into the vortex, than swirling it alone!

Welcome home, Dave. Thank you, from me and Her Majesty! God bless you. I spent two years in RVN. We had one Grandson get back safe from Iraq just a few months back, and another one is still over there.
Dave, don't dwell on the things you've seen, or the things you've done. War is a necessary hell, but don't let it get you down any more than it already has. Get into that toy box, and turn like crazy! And don't forget to take pictures. God bless you.
PS: The look like really good finishing tools, to me. Thicker is better, for a deeper reach.

I was thinking the same thing (not very thick). But the steel is free! He lives not to far from wood mills and we cut up a 36" dia circular saw blade to make these tools. I'm not looking to do any deep turning with these. But, rather, I was looking at making the finishing scraping easier at the bottom.
