I clean up epoxy with methylated spirits. This is the name in Australia and UK. In the USA it is denatured alcohol. Easy Peasy.

Thank you for that... I never knew (until now) what to use that was cheap, readily available and non-toxic.

Patty, I use my wife's nail polish remover (don't tell her) which is essentially acetone, and cheap at the dollar store.

Thanks to everybody re epoxy, its cleanup and the dowels idea.

I think Rod had the best answer - we're both in the GTA - and I leans towards practical and quick!
