Go into the world and do well. But more importantly, go into the world and do good.
Is that your own design? There are some eccentric pieces that out shine the best established formal standards. I think the
pigeon holes would light up with bright cloth at the end of those "tunnels ".
Stunning. Just stunning! I love the grain, the design and the color.

“If you want to know what a man's like, take a good look at how he treats his inferiors, not his equals.”
beautiful piece Mark. Craftsmanship is top notch. Love the cathedrals at the top of the pigeon holes, and the fact that you dove tailed the desk top is a nice touch.
Thanks for the input Mel. I bought the plans from Phil Lowe, it was what is known as an "orthogonal" plan and had 2 full size drawings. It was somewhat confusing to read, but I followed it in the beginning. I could not figure out his gallery, so I looked at some other somewhat clearer plans on the internet, and cobbled it together. Interesting suggestion on the bright cloth at the end of the tunnels - sort of like jewelry box lining? The back is easily removed. I might play around with that.
Wow...outstanding craftsmanship!!!
