I needed to to come up with a nice gift for a retiree on base.
Had to include the St. Louis Arch and our historic main gate on base.
Not much time as they needed it now! When through my stuff,
sheet acrylic, plastics and bases. This is what I came up with.
Much nicer than the photo. The silver plastic really finished it off.
Cut and engraved the acrylic, cut the Arches (front and back) out
of brushed silver IPI plastic then cut a slot in a black acrylic base.
I mounted the silver Arches to the front and back with tape then
fit it into the base.
Working on the wood oval base tonight, final piece will be a desk namebar.
This piece as you see it, will now be a standard offering in the shop.
"Bottom of the Ninth, Bases Loaded, 2 outs and a Full Count......."
You all know what I am talking about.
