    I think I did that. I took my HF multi meter, put the black lead on the ground bar, and touched the red probe to the input side of the fuse, and it burned about 1/4" off the probe. I thought I was just testing to see that the meter worked, and my next step was to put one probe on one side of the fuse, and the other at the other end for continuity. That is when I decided I didn't want to take a chance of ruining the charger.

    So...My next step was to get my 'non contact' electrical tester out. It shows power at the incoming side of each fuse, at the outgoing side of each fuse, and at the far end of the wires off of the outgoing side of each fuse. To me that shows continuity, and that the fuses are ok.

    Am I wrong? Could it still be a fuse?

    Hi Jim, I'm not sure why you sent me that link for the sander. Although the picture shows a battery in the sander, $225 is the fixed Festool Price for the Basic version which includes no batteries or charger. Batteries are $100 a piece.
