Beautiful craftsmanship by very talented people.

Would you believe that you can find the same quality work right here at SawMill Creek? Spend some time in our archives there is plenty of eye candy here.

Outstanding craftsmanship! A few years ago local high schools exhibited their woodworking projects at the San Diego County Fair. Their work was equally impressive and one of the reasons I wanted to try my hand at the craft after retiring.

The table looks nice now but I wonder if it would crack if not kept in a climate controlled room. That's a lot of different potential amounts of expansion and contraction with humidity changes, but maybe my fears are excessive.

    SawMill Creek Hall of Fame

I have a helper working with me to continue adding several more pages of projects to our Hall of Fame. I have two more years of pictures to review that will undoubtedly provide several more pages. I wish I could just snap my fingers and get this project done but it just isn't possible. This is my shameless plug for a very long list of amazing craftsmanship that has been shared here.

Bruce, I apologize for inserting a commercial into your thread.

vanderbilt estate. 1,000 european craftsman did the work there over six years. had a sawmill and railway line on the property to cut the wood and use in the place as it was being built.

Furniture in there built by cabinetmakers.

Yes, I forgot, I think the table is there. There is an antique car museum there too.

Ashville is a great place to visit for anyone who loves artistic endeavors. And yea...Biltmore has some pretty neat stuff in the estate, too.
