G0490X. Like Mith G. I bought a 6" even though EVERYONE here told me I'd be sorry. I was after about 3 days. The 8" has been a good fit for me and there are folks who never need anything over a 6". I'd take a 12" in a heartbeat. Depends what you do.

12" General 780, but I'd trade it for a 16" General or Crescent in a heartbeat.

  4. Ridgid 6". I've had it about 6 years and never needed anything bigger since any wider boards I'll rip in half and glue back together. Makes for a more stable board.

Oh and the jointer was free!

I'm in the hammer A3-31 club, though previously I had a 6" delta.

Originally I was planning on getting an 8" grizzly jointer until I discovered the joy of european combo machines.

I had 6" Delta/Rockwell for a while, even updated to carbide tipped cutting blades. Was quite happy with it until I came across on CL the 8" Grizzly, practically new, it had not even been washed off from the protective oils. This guy was selling off his newly acquired arsenal of Grizzly's after he retired, but soon after decided to go back to work ( I guess he got the offer he could not refuse). I also got from him the 15" planer and lathe.
What a difference these 2" make and the extra long bed is phenomenal too. So, I've got 2, but will be looking to unload the 6" one soon..

Delta 6" 52-858. Which I had room for 10" or larger.

    I have a 16" Moak I think from the late 30's.
Put a Shelix in it works pretty nice.
Not sure if I am man enough to go any larger.
It's pretty hard to push the large boards thru If you are doing a lot of them.
    I think I saw a 20 or 24" with a feeder on it.

6" Delta. Would be perfectly happy with an 8". Would love a 12 or bigger, but at that size, I would have space issues. Waiting for a great CL deal to come along...
