did the wrist surgery today for carpal tunnel one hand at a time.
Hand is swollen. Didn't get micro surgery as the DR. said it too often ends up doing damage by accident.
And wouldn't you know it It's snowing like crazy.

Well, I guess you can still type one-handed!
I hope everything goes well for you!

I went through something similar. Carving became almost impossible until I had surgery. The physical therapy was tough, but very worth while. Before surgery, my right hand was 50% as strong as my left. By the end of pt, it was about 110% the strength of my left and both were stronger.

I had the surgery a few years ago. It was a painful couple days after but glad I had it done. Just make sure you do the therapy.
Here's to a speedy recovery.
Dave

Go into the world and do well. But more importantly, go into the world and do good.
Cliff, I had both wrists done - not at the same time - but both done none the same. Same results both times. Slight numbness for the rest of the day after the outpatient surgery and once I woke up the next day and from there forward - no pain whatsoever. It was incredible! No pain. Six weeks off after each surgery and collected almost as much temp disability between the state and my health insurance as my weekly paycheck! I wish I had another four or five hands! LOL.... I had gotten to the point that just steering my truck would make my hands numb. What finally convinced me to get the operations was the fact that after an hour of fishing, I would have to stop and shake my hands and rest for ten or twenty minutes before continuing to fish. Couldn't have that.....so the call was made for the surgery.
There's one in every crowd......and it's usually me!
A speedy recovery is good but I hope you have a healthy recovery. Take your time and make sure everything is good. Sometimes we hurry back from recovery and then it takes longer to get to 100%. I had surgery a few years back and tried to hurry the recovery. I hurt something and my recovery was pushed back quite a bit. Relax and use the time to catch up on the creek

A speedy recovery to ya bud. Do what the doc says and take it easy for a bit.
