    Curly Spalted Ambrosia Maple HF

    Well here is another AM hollow form!
    Measures about 8" wide 7" tall.

    Well it spalted on its own, not by choice
    It was so humid in my shop after storing them in there during the hot summer they spalted on the shelfs
    I'm going to try to get a Dehumidifier for the shop hope that will help keep it down. Its nice to have spalted wood when you want to spalt it, but not so fun when you dont

    Jim that is another beautiful piece. I love the form and finish. Thanks for the answer to Kens question about spalting cause I was going to ask how you did that. Nice job Jim.

    Beautiful piece. I happen to love spalted materials in turnings...outside of the need to sharpen every few seconds (the calcite...the black line part...is horrible on edges) and the absolutely need to wear breathing protection, especially when sanding.
