Thread: Prototype spring clamps

    Prototype spring clamps

For repairs and oddball stuff, sometimes small and low pressure clamps are wanted, and standard spring clamps are too strong.

Took a shot at it here. The stock is Ipe- stickers that were being tossed at the lumber yard, I grabbed a bunch and had previously surfaced some of them.

About 45 minutes and $0 invested.

Yes, 3/4" schedule 80 PVC, but anything would work.

As I slide into retirement, less time is spent doing things for money, and more on my native inclination to fiddle around...

If you go to a movie it cost $ to see it. Time setting at home watching a ball game on TV has a Dollar value. I think i is a great job of using your brain to solve a need without having to take out a lone. Wood working is not for enjoyment if you put a Dollar amount on it.

I also spent probably 1/2 hour looking online for something to buy that's similar. I did buy some clips- metal clothes pins I guess, that should come in handy, for $8.

So what is the dollar value of 45 minutes of your time in the shop?
