The US army brought in a corps of camels and camel jockies from the middle east for use in the western deserts. They found out camel feet do not work well on gravel. They are designed for pure sand. Most all camels in the USA are descendants of these army ones.
The camel barns in Benicia are a museum and some small woodworkers/crafts types have shops in the other buildings. There was. a guy who hand made custom wallpaper there on this old house.

Go into the world and do well. But more importantly, go into the world and do good.

    Done!

Great job! It looks like it will even withstand a mudslide.

There is a Hollywood film about those camels. Was Robert Redford in it?...

Hawmps 1976 , No Robert Redford was not.
Dad loves westerns. I got to tag along to see quite a few, even the bad ones. The White Buffalo with Charles Bronson may be the worst western I can think of. I don't think Hawmps won any awards.

What was sort of cool about the original design, is that the top framing angled horizontal member is attached to the front vertical post with a "bird's mouth." It has been a while since I cut one of those, back in my framing carpenter days. Previous cabinet lasted about 40 years. I am thinking this one will out live me.
    Regards,
