Will do an "Up-Date" later this evening..once we get the Boss back home and settled in...
Warning: Router Table will be in use
Warning: Tablesaw will be making tenons

Weird Sign award: This was on the face of a Lowes 1 x 2x 6'
Drawer Dividers, Tues. Night, 1 by what.jpg
    " 1 x 8 Premium"?

I suppose this could be worse..
    Drawer Dividers, WEDS, Bar Codes.jpg
They could be printing the bar codes right ON the face of the boards, like that "1 x8"?

1st Router table use...needed a jig to slide along the fence..
    Drawer Dividers, Tues., slider jig.jpg
To run parts past a dovetail bit..
    Drawer Dividers, Tues., 18 done.jpg
9 "rails", dovetail "Tails" on each end...takes 4 passes

Goal was to match this bit..
Drawer Dividers, Tues., need to match this.jpg
That will get used to mill a socket into the front edges of the Case's front stiles..
Router table does not have an insert, so..that slider jig was to keep the rail vertical, and NOT letting the part drop into the hole around the bit...I added a backer board and clamped THAT at 90 degrees to the table, made things a lot easier, and quicker...

Stay tuned, part 2 of The Router Table Follies is coming right up..

Ok, dovetail bit was done..time to change bits..
Drawer Dividers, Tues., changed a bit.jpg
There was a time, long ago, where a router by B&D was all metal, and was a clone of a DeWalt No. 610....and both needed 2 wrenches to change the bits...same wingnut to loosen the base clamp, same way to raise or lower a bit. Wrenches were long gone, had to use these 2...Black one is the "Shaft Lock"....chrome is for the collet...
Reset the fence, and added a second fence..
    Drawer Dividers, Tues., pile up.jpg
Add a start and stop line..
Drawer Dividers, Tues., making a mortise.jpg
Because the Drawer Runners get attached the the front rails with a mortise and tenon...
    Tripod test, ends are done.jpg
    needed 18 mortises done...

    Stay tuned, more to come..

Set the router table aside, for now...cut 18 drawer runners on the tablesaw for length..
Drawer Dividers, Tues. Night, needed to be milled.jpg
Here is about half of them....each need a tenon on each end..
Drawer Dividers, Tues. Night, tenon milling.jpg
Nibble away...working away from the fence..
Drawer Dividers, Tues. Night, 2 done.jpg
Takes a while...including a test tenon on a piece of scrap..
Drawer Dividers, Tues. Night, test piece side.jpg
    Not too hateful?

    Stay tuned..

    Ok..got all 18 runners done..
    Drawer Dividers, WEDS, 18 done.jpg
However, came time to cut the pine back rails..
Drawer Dividers, WEDS, need 8 more.jpg
There was only enough GOOD 1x 2 left for 1 back rail....Trip to Lowes yesterday to restock

I had laid out along the top of the Case's sides..lay out marks
    Tripod test, tenon sized.jpg
Showing how long things needed to be made...and I checked one of the runners to make sure it matched..
Drawer Dividers, WEDs, matches layout lines.jpg

Stay tuned..that Router Table will be back..

Ok..yesterday...Had to go and bring the Boss home...(LONG story) THEN go out and pay the monthly bills, and Grocery shop....Then a trip across the street to Lowes..
On Sale!....1 x 2 x 4'....Total price for 5 of them? Under $9....Had to sort through the rack a bit,,to find the best 5 in there..

Since the Back Rails are under 23" I figured I could get at least 8 good ones..and still have a 4' one for other parts...
Drawer Dividers, back rails, busy night.jpg
After cross cutting for length...put the tablesaw away...return of the router table....however, the mortise needed to be smaller , as I only had to match the runner's tenon
Drawer Dividers, back rails, all 9.jpg
    9 Back Rails x 2 mortises..test for fit..
Drawer Dividers, back rails, test fit.jpg
    Nice, slip fit...

Ok, all caught up...depends on what happens today...we'll see

    Stay tuned..

    Drawer Dividers, Thursday,close enough.jpg
Have to allow for the router's base...including how far in to go..not too bad...?
    Drawer Dividers,Thursday, almost done.jpg
Got set up to do #8 socket...was running out of a place to clamp the fence...
    Drawer Dividers,Thursday, reverse the fence.jpg
Not a problem...just reverse the fence, and carry on
    Need 9 sockets milled..
    Stay tuned..

Need to transfer all the layout marks to the case's other side...and mill them..

Wanted to get this out of the way...once the sockets are all done..I will assemble the 9 frames...and prep them to get glued in place...maybe Saturday?
    We'll see...

Been one of THEM days, today....go to type a reply on a website....circuit breaker the Computer is on ( and the House AC Unit) decided to pop...
Decided to kill the time the computer will need to reboot back up...with 9 sockets..
Drawer Dividers, FRI., 2nd set done.jpg
All I had to do was clamp both sides together, transfer the marks from Side #1 to Side #2...move side #1 out of the way..run the router 9 times..move clamps and the fence a few times, and make sure I was in the correct spot each time..(almost messed one up)..
Had a clean up "crew" to assist..
Drawer Divider, FRI., clean up crew.jpg
As the router bit was leaving a lot of "Fuzzies" behind...the plane?
Drawer Dividers, FRI., in use, today.jpg
    Seemed to do the job...

set the finished #2 side over with side #1...called it a day...unless I get very, very, VERY bored, this evening...
    Stay tuned..

Drawer Dividers, FRI., 2nd set done.jpg
    Drawer runners are done..
    Drawer Dividers, FRI., all drilled.jpg
    Back rails are milled...
Drawer Dividers, back rails, busy night.jpg
And all are assembled with the front rails..to make 9 frames...
    9 frames, done.jpg

    So..next time will be..."some assembly"?
    Stay tuned..

Started with just a dry fit..
Case Work, dry fit, bottom frame.jpg
As this frame was labeled as Bottom frame...

Got out the screws, the bottle of glue, a BIG square..and something to drive the screws with...Big Square?
    Case Work, keeping it square.jpg
Since I am working with Frames, might as well use a Framer's Square..and worked my way up towards the top of the case..
Case Work, working my way along.jpg
Glue onto the dovetail "Tail" and along the side of the runner. Install the tail into the socket. line the frame up with the square...add a screw at the back..
    Case Work, sunken screw.jpg
then the screw out in the front hole...until.
.Case Work, side #1 glued up.jpg
This side is done....then the real fun can begin..stay tuned..
