Set one stile on the bench and into the jig....it was marked for "INside" so set that face away from me...then glue on tenon, and a spot of glue in the center of a panel..and worked my way down to the other end of the Stile..then add glue again to all the "upper" tenons and a small spot in the panel's centers...then a Mallet assist to install the matching Stile...and then add the clamps..working towards the middle..
    May Proj.,Thurs., outside, glue-up.jpg
Had a couple tenons that didn't want to enter their mortises...Mallet to assist that problem...
    May Proj., Thurs., inside, glue-up.jpg
The 2 red c clamps to close a gap on the end,,,and help center things up better...added a few other 6" f clamps for the same reasons Mainly to center the rails in the stiles..

letting this sit a day...next up?
    May Proj., Thurs., Tomorrow's.jpg
Have the #1 and #2 Stiles...they both need a foot profile sawn, and 9 mortises chopped...then the Raised Panels and the rails can be made ready for the next big glue up..

    Stay tuned..

Was a good thing that this was the "inside" for both Stiles..
    May Proj., Friday Mortises, defects.jpg
As both had a few "bad" spots, all on one Face...the other face was clear...

The Boss is coming home next Wednesday Afternoon-ish...Same day as Pay Day...I get to go out, and pay the bills that morning, then go pick her up. Being released to Home Health Care.

She also gave me permission to go to Lowes and Buy the Pine Secondary wood for this Project...and Maybe the 1/4" plywood panels for the back and the drawer bottoms..Budget being ~$100....Nice thing is, I also get the 10% Mil. Discount..at Lowes.

Might go shopping tomorrow, THEN run the Sargent 79 around a while...still trying for a Sunday glue-up of Side #2....and then build a bunch of Web Frames...to both connect the 2 sides together, and give the 8 drawers something to slide on..

    Stay tuned...

    Shopping trip..$108.86
    Need to load this up..
Lowes Lumber Run, Needs to be loaded up.jpg
    Into this space..

Lowes Lumber Run, need the seat folded down.jpg
    Needed to fold the other back seat down..so the 8' long 1 x 4s will fit...The six 1 x 2x 6' were a tight fit...The six 1/4" x 24" x 48" panels weren't an issue..

Then unload the Chevy once I got back home..
I sorted through a lot of Pine boards..these were the "Pick of the Litter"..

    So....what's for Lunch?

May Proj., Side #2, glued up, front.jpg
Had to get 8 raised panels and 9 rails all spiffy-fied up..
May Proj., Side #2, ready to assemble.jpg
    And ready for some assembly...

    Busy afternoon..
Letting this sit overnight...then see how well the 2 sides match up...THEN start on the web Frames...
    Stay tuned..

Drawer Dividers, Side #2 out of clamps.jpg
And Standing in front of Side #1...back to back...one foot will need trimmed a bit, otherwise, they match up quite nicely

    These 2 planks..
    Drawer Dividers, Start here.jpg
Needed to be cross cut in 24" (Roughly) lengths
    Drawer Dividers, 4 usable blanks.jpg
Then run through the rip fence at 1-3/8" width...
Drawer Dividers, rip set up, width.jpg
Then needed to skinny them down to 3/4" thickness..
    Drawer Dividers, thicknesser set up.jpg
As I needed 9 Drawer Dividers made of Ash....the internal parts will be Pine.

Had to replace a curvy one..
    Drawer Dividers, ripped for width.jpg
    Had enough "Leftovers" for that..
    Drawer Dividers, Leftovers.jpg
The wide one on the bottom..isn't quite that wide, any more

The best 9 rails are all clamped up into a single block, for today....letting them "season" for a bit, after all that "stress".

Once these are all squared up, and equal length....this machine will be next...
    Drawer Dividers, next up.jpg
Uses the same fence as the Tablesaw does...intend to mill a dovetail "tail" on each end...so that they can slide into a dovetail socket in the stiles..

That IS the plan, right now...been a busy morning..
    Stay tuned..

Up date time...the 2 sides were clamped together, inside to inside...the back stiles already have their rebates milled to house the 1/4" plywood back. Lined the back stiles up
    Drawer Dividers, Monday, No.7c Jointer.jpg
With the goal to joint the front edges to match each other...
    Drawer Dividers, Monday, front squared.jpg
When the square was happy, so was I...rotate the mess 90 degrees, level the top rail so that they are even ( case's top rest there)without unclamping the 2 sides...the rotate 180 degrees..
    Drawer Dividers, Monday, needs leveled.jpg
We have work to do..stay tuned...

Curved areas near the feet, used a drum sander in a cordless drill...high rail was lower,,,with a beltsander, and couple spokeshaves..and a palm sander..until finally..
    Drawer Dividers, Monday Little smoother.jpg
The Stanley No. 80 could smooth things out...
Drawer Dividers, Monday bottom rail leveled.jpg
    Also checked with the square...

These sides weigh about 40 pounds each...clamped together? add the weight of the clamps to that 80 pounds, then wrestle it into place between the leg vise and the Crochet..and clamp in place...tis a bit of a workout...let alone the rotations..still clamped up..

    The Jointer Plane?
    2 Jointers, No. 7c Top Side.jpg
Is a Stanley No. 7c, type 10....2 patent dates, no frog adjust bolt, small wheel
    Drawer Dividers, Monday, back porch.jpg
And a low knob up front..
    Drawer Dividers, Monday, front porch.jpg
With BAILEY in front of it..
    2 Jointers, No. 7c sole.jpg
Yes, it is a "c" model...

I WAS going to use the Stanley No. 8c but...once the 2 sides were clamped against the side of the bench...I had no access to the shelf it was sitting on..had to settle for the older No.7c...
At least it was a little lighter in weight..

    Stay tuned..

ok, to get the rebates milled..
Drawer Dividers, Rebate, was in the way.jpg
Had to move these out of the way...cauls were a might too close to my arms as they were going by..
    Drawer Dividers, Rebate, one done.jpg
Used the Craftsman3720 to mill a 3/8" wide by 1/4" deep rebate down the back of both case sides..had to mark which was Front and which was back..

Hardest part, was keeping the plane vertical..
Drawer Dividers, Rebate, trying for square.jpg
And not take super thick shavings..
Drawer Dividers, Rebate, noodle too thick.jpg
"Extra Crunchy"? hammer adjust for depth and laterals..
    Drawer Dividers, Rebate, messy floor.jpg
This was from ONE side...then, went back and did side #2...plane MIGHT need a sharpening after this Project is done?

    " 1 x 8 Premium"?

I suppose this could be worse..
    Drawer Dividers, WEDS, Bar Codes.jpg
They could be printing the bar codes right ON the face of the boards, like that "1 x8"?
