The Fastnet Rock and Light house are also called the "The Irish Teardrop" off of the Isle of Wight the last land the Irish refugees would see of the homeland on the way to America or other places of refuge.

Yesterday’s (4/20) installment reveals they will get the boat in the water for next weekend’s video drop. With the delay between recording and posting it’s likely already been launched. It’s been a long time coming.

Interesting subject. I have skimmed over some of those videos and it's amazing what he's doing. Brought back memories. I sailed in the Pacific Northwest for years and have spent much time in Pt. Townsend. Several years ago I met up with friends and their boat at Neah Bay (NW tip of the continental US) to ride along for the last leg home after a part-way-around-the-world journey. This is a picture of what was hanging in the slings in the marina at Pt. Townsend when we got there. If you want nautical craftsmanship, Pt. Townsend is a good place to look for it.

Remarkable! I tried to watch my old VHS version of The Last Sailors the other day and decided I need to get a digital copy. Leo & Tally Ho would fit in nicely along side many of the boats and sailors in that film.

I just started "The Wager" by David Grann. I am enjoying it. Life and death on the high seas! (as experenced from a warm, dry, comfortable chair).

I just watched the launching of Tally Ho. Another excellent video and an uplifting story. I suspect the next chapters will be equally enjoyable.

Looks great, but does it look to anyone else that it has lee helm? I would put some effort into getting it balanced out in that light wind before taking it out when it's blowing. Might need to play with mast rake a bit. Maybe it's just the camera angle, but the helm looks uncomfortable to me.

Not to me although I didn't see any clear shots of how it balanced. Around 16 minutes he seems to be pulling slightly on the tiller just like he should be with a slight heel and a slight windward helm. A little later it briefly looks like he might be pushing a bit on the tiller but it's not clear where the center is.

But you gave me an excuse to spend a few more minutes watching them sail and it was a pleasure. I spent a lot of time sailing in those waters although everything I sailed had fiberglass hulls and aluminum masts. I rarely if ever saw anything like the Tally Ho out sailing.

Not to me. Leo lets go of the tiller several times and it stays put. He does say that she feels balanced... and that she is a heavy boat.
