SawStop over blade vacuum pickup not good enough

I use a shop vac on my PCS blade guard. Works great. Much better than my dust collector. .

I have over arm and I thought I was not getting much power but at the hose end I was getting plenty of suction when I disconnected it using just my dust collector and even less with using a shop vac. I think it is there to get the super fine dust because if don't use it I can see a big difference in dust in my shop and mine has a nearly clear hose and you can see dust inside.
