Great story. Reminds me of "The Tree" - the legendary quilted mahogany that is still being made into guitars. I remember when the article came out in FWW back in the mid 80's when I majored in furniture design at RIT. I actually saw a couple guitars like this one in person when I exhibited at NAMM last year. Will debut at NAMM this year, as Acacia Guitars did a guitar with it.
