    Bosch router

I bought a Bosch router roughly 3 years ago. It worked perfectly for about 18 months and then began to allow slippage in bits. I took it to an authorized Bosch repair shop. They kept it a couple of weeks and announced that I had not tightened a nut on the adjustment lever enough. Took it home and it still allowed slippage. Called the shop and was told that they could do nothing else. So, I put it on the back shelf until this morning when I put in a keyhole bit and really cranked down on the holding nut. Started routing the back of a picture frame and the bit walked right out of the wood. Any suggestions?

You may try replacing or maybe just cleaning the collet. They do have a limited lifespan as I have been told. Good luck!
Rustic? Well, no. That was not my intention!

What brand router bits are you using?

Did you send the collet and nut you're using now with it when you sent it in?
If at first you don't succeed, redefine success!
