    Box Elder Hollow Form

Finished up this BE hollow form today. This wood sure did have a surprise inside and I am glad I let it out. No red in it but the curl and spalting is their.

8-1/4" x 5-3/4" finished with 3 coats of Deft lacquer. I will buff it in a couple of weeks.

    Thanks for looking

Don't you love it when an apparently blah piece of wood has a treasure like that hiding inside???

    Wow Dick !!!

You certainly brought out the beauty in that chunk of wood. a perfect example of why turning can be so addictive, that definately is a keeper.
