I'm thinking of changing some of the machinery in my shop to better accomodate the type of work I'm doing these days. I've been looking on the web for dealers who sell used machinery so that I could get an idea of what my machines would be worth when it comes time to sell them. However, I've not had good luck finding anything but pretty serious industrial machinery. I was wondering if anyone knew where I might look to get prices for used Powermatic and Delta machines. Basically I'm just trying to get an average of what these machines are selling for. I have no intentions of overpricing when it comes time to sell, but I'd like to avoid selling to a dealer if I could. I realize dealers have to make a profit and would offer me less than what the machines are worth. When it comes time, I'll definately be posting here so that if anyone is interested the members here will have first access.
The machines in question are:
Powermatic 66 (1ph 3hp) with 50" extention table and motor cover. Included would be a Jointech Saw Train Fence. Original Powermatic Fence(unopened). Beisemeyer Splitter. Overarm Brett Guard. Original Powermatic blade, 2 Jesada blades and a Jesada Stacked Dado set. Jointech router base mounted into extention table and all the accesories that came with the fence; video set, templates, inserts, etc. I know that's a lot of stuff, but I'd definately like to sell it as a package if possible.
Delta DJ-20 8" jointer. Wired for 230 volts. Two extra sets of knives.
Powermatic 15 inch planer. Wired for 230 volts with original 2 sided knives.
All of these machines were purchased new about three years ago and are in very good condition. The Jointech fence is pretty amazing with all the capabilities it has to make so many different joints. I've never used it to it's fullest abilities and don't forsee getting the oportunity to do so. Like I said, I'm really just trying to find out pricing for these at the time being as what these will bring in will help determine if I can afford to purchase other machines. I appreciate any suggestions and input other members might have. Thanks.
