I was planning to go the Howard Leight route because I wanted to give these a try (LINK) and the 3M would be compatible with them due to the controls placement. I honestly cant do over the hear ear protection with safety glasses as after an hour or so the sides of my head hurt and I have a headache/earache. Happens all the time when shooting. I was going to try these as well as they are on sale (LINK)

I use the Ion headphones. I've been happy with them. It does take 5-10 seconds for them to connect. But they offer good hearing protection, and the Bluetooth works well.
