    555lx tension release issue

    Hi there,

My new G0555lx isn't letting the tension release so that I can remove the blade. It's not dropping the wheel down.

The tech support is closed until tomorrow - anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks

Just to be sure..........you ain't cranking the tracking knob near the wheel spindle to release the tension, aren't ya? Tension knob is on top of the saw.

No, I'm cranking the tension knob...it's showing zero tension, but the wheel's not moving up or down.

I'll go with a jammed travel nut. The threaded piece that rides up and down in the channel. Generally a square nut that gets jammed by over enthusiastic blade tensioners .

Yep, the two tensioning nuts were too high - odd, as i don't know that I've even really messed with the tension...but it's all good now! Thanks!
