    stupid award

Please pardon stupidity I should know better by now. Been watching denton club's utube and is john skewing that skew chisel on a planning cut or holding it flat on the tool rest. I have been skewing rubbing the bevel all the time if possible. My question then is hold it flat on straight cut or lift long point? Thanks so much. HG

When holding it flat on the tool rest you are using it as a scraper. Allan Batty made a video released by CSUSA that is on you tube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KfeLAHQSbqk#t=15

    thanks

I was watching this video while you wrote and that little wedge agreed with you and what I have been trying to perfect. It would help on those videos if the portions of the tool could be separated in some way. Your posts have been a lot of help to me. thanks HG
