I'd love to see a CNC router on that list. I sure could use a drum sander too. Foredom carving set. Hollowing rig for turning (Monster or Cobra).
Fence system - like a Maya or Oneway.

Free Shipping is part of the prize.

Jim, you know that I have been searching for a company willing to donate a CNC Router. This one is very high on my list of machines that I know everyone would love to win.

I'm also looking for a cyclone system. wood lathe, table saw.....

I'm clearing a spot in my shop for that unwanted engraver as a favor to all the people who don't want it.

Keith, making the Creek's anniversary special by giving stuff away to community members/supporters is a great idea.

I imagine the vendors who participate here would be most likely to contribute, a few come to mind:

Lee Valley/Rob Lee - a full set of Veritas planes?, some of the new powdered metal chisels, a set of the miniature plane series.
    Lie Neilsen -
    Grizzly/Shiraz Balolia -
ToolNut - Festool Kapex, Domino, track saw or Sander+Exactor
Holbren Tool - panel door set, couple sawblades, etc...
    Laguna - Bandsaw, ResawKing, Cyclone
    Router lift/table - Rockler?
    Eurekazone/EZsmart

I'd really like a JDS multi-router and an Akeda dovetail jig.

Some wood would be cool, maybe some bowl blanks for the turners. They might like a Stubby or Robust too.

Just looked at the friends list, surprised at how laser/signmaker heavy the list is. We need more of the traditional vendors/services represented on there too.

I imagine what your really need is some help.

    Keep up the fantastic work!

    Kevin,

Thanks for the ideas, I am adding to the list of machines and tools so I can try to find vendors who would like to participate.
We have a confirmation on a new band saw already.

The Friends of The Creek Directory was started a couple of years ago when we gave away a Camaster CNC Router to promote the directory. To be eligible for the drawing you had to be an FOTC member, this is why there are so many engraving and sign oriented people in the directory. I wish I knew how to get more people to support the FOTC and how to encourage more people here to use it.

Well the Freestuff drawings will definitely pull in more people for that FOTC. The key is showing them that it's effective advertising for their business. How do you draw their customers to the directory? If you can figure that out, then you've got it made.

I love the idea of giving away a laser engraver plus any other sort of machinery!
