I've got the Performax 16/32, and put things through there 'both directions' quite often. I can do this on most 'smallish' tabletops (like an end table) with great success. If the piece gets too long (not wide), that's when I've had problems. I'd like to have a closed unit, but I know where one is that I can use when I need to...which just isn't very often.

I considered buying a 16-32 but found the 25-2 first. One problem is that it is BIG. The footpront on the floor is 4' by 4' and in a small shop that is a problem. I put casters on it and tuck it in a corner most of the time, but it still takes up a lot of space. Space is something to think about. I have friends with the 16-32 and they like it, but the design of the Delta seems more sturdy. I leaned towards that and would really like to have heard from more Delta owners.

Dan, I have one of the early 18/36 Deltas. Other than fussing a little with the carrier belt tracking when first setting it up, it has been maintenance/trouble free.

    Have the Performax 22-44

Just like Jim, mine was up to spec right out of the box. If you don't expect it to do the job of a planer you'll be pleased with it's performance

Brad, did you buy Delta's tables or make your own? I'd be interested in seeing pictures.
