salad fork pattern

disclaimer - I did not turn this on the lathe . The forks were included on a previous photo posting and, as requested, I'm posting the pattern for others to use.

Choose a hardwood of choice (I used cherry) and trace the pattern on an appropriate sized block of wood. Carefully cutout the forms using a bandsaw. I used a 1/2" forstner bit to cut out radius at the bottom of the fingers prior to bandsawing the finger openings.

If availble, the best way to sand is an oscillating spindle sander with a 1/4" to 1/2" spindle for the fingers, and a larger spindle for the body. You could also use a drum sander on the drill press or simply hand sand the entire piece.

Finish with your favorite process. I used several coats of General's Salad Bowl finish for its durability.

- no need to be super accurate on any of the dimensions.
- grain must be in the direction of the fingers.
