It's fun making wood smaller and rounder, huh? Nice set of bonkers and bowls.
Nice egg! Have any hens? You might be able to convince one to set.
Congrats on your new toys Eric. I especially like the platter/bowl, ash? Looks like you're breaking that lathe in quickly! Happy Turning.
Eric, the HF is actually a nice little lathe. I enjoyed mine, and it really got me started. I can tell you, though, you may upgrade quickly once the fever sets in hard!!
Enjoy the new toys!
Roland the plater/thingy came from an Oak plank.
it is 9-1/2" and was just a test.

Never put off until tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow.
To succeed in life, you need three things: a wishbone, a backbone and a funnybone.
Always nice to get new shop toys...
Congrats Eric.
Your "just a test" is really nice there, as is all the others! And just a plank? Isn't it amazing what can come out of all the stuff we have laying around?
Looks like you have been busy exploring the wonderful world of turning! Nice work! Really like the egg!

Have a Nice Day!
Eric, nice practice pieces. Who knew that you could have so much fun with a small chunk of wood .....seems like I've heard that one somewhere. Is that the eyes of the 4 eyed screw monster looking out of the bottom of your platter/thingy. Man I hate when that happens.
