    Smile "Weekend Doin's"

    Friday June 12, 2009

    GOOD MORNING "CREEKERS"!

Happy Friday everyone. Beautiful day here after some rain and clouds earlier in the week. More rain on the way they say.

I've already gotten in a round of golf and now must attend to household chores before we go to the Madison Mallards baseball game tonight. Class A, I think. Not sure who their major league affiliation is with. Anyway, we expect to have a good time.

As we have all the grandkids I'm not sure what's going on this weekend. I guess I'll find out when I'm told.

So how's things in your neck of the woods? What's happening? Any fun things going on?

Whatever's happening I hope you enjoy yourselves and please be SAFE.

Weekend includes the yard work mentioned and an order for five large bowls to turn! That'll be fun times; presently three are ready on face plates, cornered and ready to mount to turn!

Sunny and hot this weekend here, so I'll mow late evenings!

    Ya'll have a good weekend!

Jude, you keep sending storms to us!! Too wet to mow this morning, with a small chance (20%) of more rain today and tomorrow.
Working on rebuilding my computer from the recent crash. Just got the sound back up and running. Cleaned up some trash by the front of the shop, picked up most of the deadfall in the front yard from the recent storms, now need to do the backyard. Oh, and I'm on vacation today!! LOML in Houston for a the TMTA Convention(Texas Music Teachers Association) until Monday afternoon, so I have dog duty. Want to go get one of the sanding drum kits at Woodcraft tomorrow, and take in the free demo on the pocket hole ideas. Hopefully my replacement frames will be in for my glasses. It's been almost 2 weeks. I've got a UPS package coming with some parts to rebuild the string trimmer, and to rebuild the carb on the riding lawn mower. That should keep me busy the rest of the weekend. Jim.

Build four wine racks, train the puppy, lay out a truckload of shredded brush between the raised beds to cut down on weeds, have a fun rednecky cookout and possibly take the new dog on a canoe trip Sunday.
if ya ain't the lead dog, the scenery never changes...

Don't mean to burst your bubble but Father's Day is next weekend.

I'm finishing the dining room project - laying bamboo floor. Pics when I'm done.

  9. Going to recuperate a bit from a summer cold and an awful experience this week: I had to put my dog of fourteen years to sleep. I wrote a tribute to her (with pics) on my blog if you're interested (link verboten in posts; see profile).

I'll be making a box for her ashes at some point in the next couple of weeks. Then it's on to a bed for my son.

I've been on "vacation" for the last week spent two days working on the sister in laws house, another day or two building a cabinet and shelves for her, two days on the daughters deck and managed to get a little work done in my shop and set up the new shaper. Tomorrow I get to go back to work and rest up.

I had surgery for a deviated septum on Wednesday so I'll be working on planning for my parents' kitchen project, watching my wife mow the lawn for the first time since we've been married, surfing the web, and not too much else.
