My Powermatic 3520B got sick last Saturday, suffering a severe case of inverteritis. I didn't get a chance to call Powermatic until Tuesday and didn't get the service order created until late Tuesday afternoon. First thing Thursday morning I received a call from Powermatic informing me that they didn't have any inverters in stock but could pull one off of a new lathe if I really needed it. About an hour later they called me back, they had located an inverter in stock and would be overnighting it. The new inverter arrived at the local service center on Friday morning and they sent out a technician to replace it yesterday afternoon.

All in all I was down for 6 days, but it actually only took 4 days from the time Powermatic was notified of the issue to have a replacement part sent and installed.

That's what I call service!
