I have been going nuts making boxes since I got a renewed passion for woodworking and since I bought some beeeeautiful walnut.
This is for a friend
Overall view, the top is some fine figured walnut, with a bird's eye maple inlay
On the front there are three white poplar inlays and one of my japanese crest thingies
Finish is Sam Maloof. I sanded the top to 12K grit, looks great in person
