    Maybe not a dream

Well judging by the response to my earlier post there are plenty of good dreamers here. I too dream of a machine beyond my means but just placed an order for a Oneway 1640 2Hp. It will be a far cry from the "Craptex" (did I say that out loud?) that I'm currently using. It did serve to get me consumed by the vortex. Hope to have the new machine before Christmas. There goes the bonus money!!

    Mike:
Congratulations! I was going to wish you a Merry Christmas, but I guess that goes without saying. Can't wait to see what comes off that thing!
I'll say it anyway, Merry Christmas!

    All the best.

WOW - now that is a gloat! I have often checked out the very same lathe - in catalogs of course - but always felt it would be a great choice! Are you going to get the bed extension for outboard turning? Looking forward to seeing photos of it once you get it set up!

Again - congrats and Merry Christmas!!!

Mike, that's a very nice machine...and the available outboard bed will add capacity later when you are ready to go large. You'll especially appreciate how SMOOTH and quiet this level of machine runs. Congratulations on your order!

    Mike,
I hope that you love it as much as I do mine. It is all the lathe I will ever need. If you can swing the outboard side it is wonderfull for bowl turning. Sounds like you are going to have a great Christmas. Have some help to move it. They come with a strong pallet attached, so a pallet jack would be very handy.
    Enjoy,
    Jack
