Where do you dump your liquid/sludge type waste?

Every now and then I have a project that has a part of it that has me collecting liquid/sludge type waste. e.g. a built-in with dry wall surrounding it. I prefer to wet sand dry wall compound with a dry wall sponge rather than get the dust (or should I say LOML demands NO DUST). There have been some times I need to use a dry vac to mop up. When I use a dry wall sponge and rinse out the sponge in a bucket, if I let the bucket set for a while there is a "sludge" in the bottom of the bucket. I worry about where to dump that sludge. If I were to put it in a basement deep sink, even though I run plenty of cold water through, aren't I asking for an eventual blockage? Thus, my question: where do you guys dump "liquid/sludge" type waste?

I would dump drywall dust/sludge in the yard or the garden.

I would advise not even considering dumping it down any drain that is asking for a blockage. If you can pour off excess liquid outside one could let it dry out & then toss it in the trash.

We have a gravel driveway--I dump that kind of stuff right on it.

If the sludge is in the bottom of a bucket, simply mix it into whatever water fits in the bucket, then pour it down the drain with the water running. Leave the water running for a few minutes afterwards. I'm a painter, and have been doing it this way for 12+ years with no blockages. Don't overthink the problem...

You can mix some sawdust or mortar with it, and let it harden then it can be put out with any trash.
