Love the proportions and the lid handle.

It does seem to me like it is missing something though. You said you are selling them...

may I suggest an embellishment on the top or a surprise on the interior? IMO either would bring it up a notch. Others may say differently. Good luck!

I love the simplicity... a very well designed handle sets it off. BTW.. business is slow all over the country so don't feel you are alone in that department.

    Very nice...

    thanks for the compliments

This box hasnt turned its full color yet.I usually leave the insides natural.the outside gets fresh shellac on top.My air compressor was stolen last month so i hand plane the sides.Need air to blow away the dust. From sand paper.I do have others with trays and figured top with locks.Hard to sell bigger fancer boxes. It takes me two days to make this style with the brusso hinge. So you can imagine i dont make much.

certainly qualifies as "nice," but I'd say "really nice!"

  8. Andrew,
Why don't you make more than one of these boxes at a time, it will not take that much longer and therefore reduce the time invested in each box. This will make it a little more profitable.
BTW it is a nice box and the Koa will look outstanding.

    very nice in its simplicity.

The only think I don'g like is the thickness of the boards, a little thinner would be more pleasing, but I love the dovetails and minimalist design.

    Good Job !!

the front handle seems to be disproportionate on each end.

Mark maybe you should put a book out on what you like ,an see if everyone follows. You seem to be an expert on design. Anything good to say?

very nice box.... manly style.... would like you to try a feminine style as well and you know women buy more than men... the inlay work coul be flowery or doves or something girly girls like... still i love your work.... happy holiday season....
