source for thin plywood in a particular thickness

Hi guys

Spent the entire day running plywood through a thickness sander to get standard 1.6mm ply down to approximately 1.25 mm. I need this thickness because its a part for a scale model kit.

Wondering if anyone knows of a supplier who might have this odd thickness, or can make to order?

Finnish birch plywood is available in 1.00mm and 1.5mm, and we get it from Aircraft Spruce - http://www.aircraftspruce.com/menus/wp/plywood.html. You might want to check with them.

Can you glue a sheet of .4mm to .8mm?

The 1/64" (.4mm) and 1/32" (.8mm) are the two smallest thicknesses available. You can use a transfer adhesive like 3M 467 and use a clothes iron to bond the sheets together.

Thanks guys. I thought about bonding an extra layer of thin stock, but I was worried about delamination and warp using glue. Hadn't thought about the iron on transfer tape!

Where's a good place to get that stuff?
