Need a folding router table

But time is more of a premium to me and money isn't really the issue. Having said that I would like it to be less that $300 if possible, but for quality we only pay once as the saying goes.

I own one of these tables. This company makes really well built stuff. I used there table for a portable tale saw for years and it was real sturdy. Not leightweight but from your description of what you want I don't think you'll find etter than this

I bought a set of Rugged Buddy legs and stuck them under a full-sized Rockler top.

They don't fold quite flat and hang out the ends but it does take a lot less shop space up.

Rick, I also have a space problem and first purchased a Freud RTP1000 benchtop folding router table. It came with a aluminum plate and the Freud micro fence. I felt the table was a bit small, especially for longer pieces. However, it is a very good quality table.

I upgraded to the Rousseau 3100 which is a full size table, floor standing, and larger version of the same scissor folding legs. Rousseau also sells the benchtop version #3110.

I added a Benchdog fence for the ease of adjustment. However the included Rousseau fence works well enough. I purchased a removable mobil base to make it easy to move around when it is set up. I also purchased a JessEm lift with the Rousseau plate size (through Amazon).

The plate size for the Freud and the Rousseau tables is 9"X12"

Amazon sells all three tables with free shipping. The large table is selling for about $250.00

I built this one a couple of years ago and use it quite often. It is heavy and stable. I'm a little guy and have to kinda drag it out to use it. My only complaint is that the folding mechanism gets a little awkward sometimes. If I were doing it over, I would build a split fence instead of a solid fence so it would be more convenient for edge joining.
