    Something for the daughter...

Here's a simple project I made for my daughter. I bought the mirror and mirror frame from a buddy of mine for $20. It had a made in china sticker on it and wasn't that appealing so I sanded it down and painted it. The frame and drawer are made of cut offs and scraps that I already had - birch and maple. The panels were made from scrap okoume plywood and maple plywood. The only things I had to buy, besides the mirror, were the knobs, paint, and cushion materials. I put a seat on it so she could change shoes, etc., while getting dressed. Her being 10 years old, she picked the paint colors. It'll last her a few years then she'll be to big for the "little girl" stuff.

Adorable project! And I agree with Michael...that's a great way to repurpose.

I can see that being very dangerous with a child standing on the seat and falling towards the mirror.
