    Truss vs. Pan Head Screws

My understanding of the difference here is that the truss head has a slightly lower profile than the pan head. I am having a hard time finding truss head wood screws. Do they go by any other name?

On that note, are round head screws the same as pan head screws? I think not but wanted to poke the SMC braintrusts.

Do you think we ever have too many choices some times?

In case you were curious, I have some new Blum slides that want a truss head #6 x 1/2" wood screw. I found some round head #6 x 1/2" and I don't think I am going to sweat the difference but I am kinda curious now.
    Wood: a fickle medium....

Did you know SMC is user supported? Please help.

I think, if I recall correctly, that truss heads are only available on machine screws, pan head on machine, sheet metal and wood screws.

Learn something new every day. Truss screws, I've never heard of them until now - I always thought they were just a different flavor of pan head.

    Good question Chris!

McFeely's has them. I use the 6x5/8 truss head on the cabinet sides. They'll also work with accuride and KV full extension glides.
