    Rust in Grooves

SWMBO, God bless her, brought me coffee in the shop, and left it on the cast iron table for me. I now have circular rust stains on the table.

I tried to wet sand the marks off using WD40 and 600 wet-sandpaper, but it only removed the rust from the tops of the ground table grinding marks, not from in the grooves.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to remove the rust in the grooves as well? I have previously used Boeshield on the table, so will that affect whatever chemical you are about to suggest to me?

    Thanks for any help!

Maybe try Zud or Bar Keepers Friend.

  3. Try a soft brass brush, the type used by welders. Get a wire brush for really bad rust.

One day they'll make you all misty.
