Search terms must be >= 4 characters?

First, I need to thank the web-site staff for providing a home for parts of the Badger Pond community. I've enjoyed the new site and it already feels like home.

I just ran into a limitation that confuses me. I tried searching the Power Tools forum for posts on "pen turning". The search engine rejected my search term "pen" because it was less than 4 characters. I had to expand it to "pens turning" before I could get the search to run.

Can you all either lower the limit or allow "pen" as an acceptable search term? I'm a newbie at turning wood pens and need all the help I can glean from Ken Salisbury, Scott Greaves, and all the other pen-turners. Thanks in advance!

    Cheers,

    If you try

using a wildcard like a splat (aka * ) you will get pen, pens, pencil, etc. Fortunately there are only 12 entries for "pen* turning."
    Best Regards, Ken
