    In Appreciation

In appreciation of work for over 12 years of ministry and music, our church presented these placques to our Pastor and Choir Director (his wife) as they completed their final Sunday with us before moving to a new location. The pictures will be in two separate posts as I have not yet uploaded them to my web site.

The first is the placque for the pastor which is a piece of curly maple in a stained glass window shape with the symbol of the United Methost Churc (Cross & FLame). The flame is cherry and the cross is black walnut. The pieces are cut and inlayed with a router inlay template set. The finish is Deft Clear Wood Finish.

The second is the placque for the Choir Director which is a piece of curly maple with a laser cut walnut treble of G-clef set into the back piece. The Clef is black walnut. The pieces were laser cut and inlayed by SMC's Ken Hertzog in Slippery Rock, PA. The finish is Deft Clear Wood Finish.

    Thanks for viewing

thank you for the kind words. you also did a fine job finishing them.
I was hoping I was going to see the finished project.
    sure they will be appreciated.

I don't have a photo, but my grandaughter spotted the cut off of the clef and wanted it mounted as a gift for her piano instructor. I had to make the missing pieces from some scrap, but she was happy with her special project from Grandma Camp.!
