    New Donations Options for Contributors

One of the new features in vBulletin 3.7 is an improved accounting system. In the past we have not used the built-in system as it didn't seem to meet our needs and everything was done manually. This has changed, Aaron Koehl has setup and configured a new Donations Page that is an automated based on the vBulletin upgrade. You have a choice of making a one time donation for the year or an automated monthly recurring donation using PayPal. Note that there are no options for multi-year donations at this time.

The new system tracks your time based on a 365 day annual account status. You will automatically be upgraded to Contributor status when using the new system. Consequently your user title will automatically revert to Member status when your account expires based on the new accounting system.

All 2008 Contributors will be converted to the new system whose donations were made starting November 1st, 2008 to the current date. All Contributors prior to 2008 will be converted back to Member status as the second half of the system is implemented over the next few days.

There will no longer be a November Fund Drive, each Contributor will have their own annual date assigned with 365 days posted to your account and shortly we will cease to use the year in Contributors titles.

Those who prefer not to use PayPal will be able to send checks or money orders via snail mail. The information will be added to the donations page on the next revision for your convenience. If you prefer to send a check make sure you provide your user name so your account can be updated accurately.

Aaron has listed some of the special features that we offer our Contributors on the Donations Page. Options reserved for our Contributors are our way of thanking each of you for your support throughout this and previous years keeping The Creek flowing for all to enjoy.

    Thanks,
    Keith

    Keith,

How will Mods know that it's time for our annual contribution? Can the system generate a PM to us?

    Rob,

You guys do so much just helping us moderate the forums. Please do not donate.

If I understand correctly; the donation period will not be a calender year but rather an individual fiscal year.
So, will we be notified when our fiscal year donation will be coming due? Will we be notified in advance as to not miss out on potential drawings?

That explains why my contribution only covered me for a little over 7 months.
