    New Sawmill Creek features?

I just noticed that Jim Becker has a nice new huge avatar. Also, I noticed a few more features, such as Tags and My profile looks different. I think we are still in Beta testing for 3.7.

What new features have you noticed?

No beta testing...the new software is loaded. But Aaron has not gone through all the new stuff yet. Some new things are quite visible. Others are not.

I don't intend to beat it into the ground, but are you referring to...um... the visibility of your um... new... avatar?

I also noted the new photo albums you can access through the User CP. Check out Steve Schlumpf's... looks great. Also, when you lookup a member, the layout of that person's page is different.

It's not huge. The new limit is 100x100 and 39kb for avatars. What I do hope is that folks leverage that to make their avatars clearer...I doubt that I'll keep the "James Bond" look up, but it's been a nice chance to see what can be done with a head-shot photo in the larger size. All I did here was cut the shot out of a photo, cleaned it up, resized (97x100 in this case) and blurred the background before saving as a GIF for an even smaller file size. That file is under 6kb due to the way GIFs are constructed.

On the avatar size feature, Contributors have the option of the larger avatar size in their UserCP.

    Wow

    Kieth,
Sounds like a lot more than I thought.

Will we be receiving technical manuals for refernce?

    Dewey,

The new FAQ on the blue menu bar has some information about the new features. I am like you spending time to try and figure out how the new stuff works.
I think that there is so much to learn that it will be awhile before a majority of our Community get accustomed to and start using many of the new features.

A technical manual would be appreciated but we didn't receive one
