    ROS for AutoBody Use

    Hey Gang,

It has been awhile since I have messed with autobody work but in the past I used a dual action sander (DA) which works my 5hp 60 gallon air compressor to death. I am fixing to help my son with some autobody work and was thinking about using my porter cable ROS with hook and loop paper. Can anyone think of a reason why the DA is more suited than my ROS.

Doesn't the DA go faster and stroke shorter?

Don't know much about body work

I have has this experience though. A friend's headlight lenses were crazed so they were opaque. Used my PC ROS with a mohair pad and some compound to polish them up like new.
