    Hitachi router problem

I have a Hitachi M12V2 router mounted in my router table, and it's been just fine for about a year. Just recently when I try and adjust the bit upwards something slips and the router actually goes downward. It's like the threads are not engaging and it slips down.

Has anyone had this problem? My next step will be to contact Hitachi unless I can get some help here.

    Thanks

    Matt,

I had a similar problem with the M12V2 in my router table, except I experienced it when I first installed it. I took the springs out and that solved the problem. I hope this helps.
