Thread: Pen Exchange

    Pen Exchange

It seems that there is enough interest in a pen exchange so if you want participate, enter your name below.

    The Rules:

The entry period will be open until Sunday, April 20. Names will be drawn by a "disinterested" party to determine who would be paired up with whom. Entrants can choose any type of pen, of any material, and apply any finish as long as you use your lathe. There will certainly be different skill level participating, so if you can't accept any type of pen turned by someone else at their discretion, don't enter. It will be the responsibility of the two parties to exchange addresses for the delivery of the pen. SMC will not in any way be responsible.

When the pens are ready for delivery, entrants will use PMs or emails to exchange address information. You are encouraged to post a picture of the finished pen for others to see your creativity.

Please – If you can’t deliver on your commitment, then don’t enter. Apparently there were some that entered the Ornament exchange and never came through. If a problem arises, contact your pen-partner and let them know. So if you want to participate, enter your name below mine.

Try to have your pens completed by the end of May, but you can work that out with your trading partner. Let’s have some fun!

    Me too! I'm in.

Maybe someone (Andy, Ken, Dennis, Jim) would like to put this up as a sticky?

I see the entry date but what is the "mail by date". I'm out of town until the 20th but would enter if the mail by date is later.
    Thanks, Brian

It would be nice to finish by the end of May, but that is between you and your pen-partner
