    Guitar Strap

    Hi everyone,

My nephew is turning 9 this week and his parents bought him a mini Fender electric guitar for his birthday. The guitar is red, so I made him this guitar strap for it. He's small, so I took a guitar strap kit from Tandy Leather and cut down the main strap to make it fit him.

    I'd appreciate your comments.

    Cary - looks good...

Are you a leather guy? Do you know if that needs to be resealed or not after etching?

I would use Tandy's bagcote over the complete piece after engraving. It will give it a nice finish and seal it so it is less likely to stain. It will also contain any smell left from lasering.

Unfortunately, I've already given it to him. He loved it. I'll seal the next leather item I do with the bagcote.
