Blade length for rockwell 28 350 20" bandsaw

I have a Rockwell 20" bandsaw model 28 350. I need a blade. I ordered a 150" blade based on advise from Dewalt. The blade is to long. I measure about 141" around the wheels. Does anyone know the correct measurement and where I could purchase a blade?

Measurement of the blade should be the 2X wheel center to center distance plus PI*D

I've got the same saw. 141" is correct. It will actually take bands between 140" and 142". f you have a local band saw shop (and you almost certainly do), you can get your 150" band rewelded to 141". If you don't have someone local you can also order bands from Constitution Saw in Connecticut (860) 289-7696. He sells the "Timberwolf" silicon steel bands that a lot of SMCers including me use.

Delta's service has gone way downhill since they were acquired by B&D. If they want to retain their name as a quality brand, they're going to have to have better quality service. That starts with service people who actually know machines.

I saw this post so I had to go check, other models (mine is a 28-641) have a 156-1/2" blade. Seems funny that different 20" saws within the same brand would be different size, but there you go!
FWIW any decent blade shop will make up blades to your length. Also since it's a popular saw you may find it pretty easily as a stock item. Just about any good WW supply will carry bandsaw blades.
    good luck,

It's not really that surprising, since the band length depends on the shaft-shaft distance and Delta has made many different designs through the years. Some representative examples:

    The 28-350 (1940s-60s):

    The 28-3X0 (70s-80s):

    28-640 (Current model):
