    Question Mysterious blank moderator posts!

Hope someone can help me! I've recently begun experiencing mysterious missing moderator post syndrome. I know it sounds strange, but recent posts from moderators appear blank when I view threads. In fact, I sent a PM to one moderator today asking about it and I was unable to view his PM reply! (I finally discovered that I could "download" the text of his reply and read it that way). It's almost as if the box enclosing the post is sized incorrectly (sized as if there where no text). Anybody have any ideas?

    Weird

That's pretty strange. Could it be that somehow you have all moderators in your "ignore" list?

My ignore list is empty. I think it's a conspiracy by the moderators - they don't want me to know they are saying bad things about me!

Jim, you're in on it! Seriously, I can't read the post you just submitted.

Hey, wait a second, it shows up here on the reply to thread page which lists all the posts below the reply box. Hmm... This is very strange. Why would moderator posts be any different than any other post? And why only in the "normal view"? I've been using linear mode. I'll try switching modes and see if that changes things. This is a recent phenomena, though. I've been able to read your posts as recently as a few days ago.

EDIT: Had to fix my spelling - don't want to give Jim any more things to say about me in his cloaked messages!

Just tried "hybrid" and "threaded" displays and the results are the same. When I view the thread, Jim's post appears as a blank box. Strange. Guess it's time for the tried and true solution for all technical glitchs - reboot!

Well, believe it or not the reboot did the trick! Wish now I had taken a screen shot to prove I'm not crazy! I'm running IE 7.0 on XP. Still baffled at how selective the problem was. But I now see the posts that I previously did not. I make a living working on these stinking machines - but after 20 years in the business, I still can't figure 'em out!

That's pretty funny Matt! No, I design and build large, complex systems for large enterprises - but I can't work a simple web browser!
