    SMC Amazon Store

I wanted to make sure that SMC is getting the kickback when I purchase through Amazon. I ordered two Woodworking DVDs that I searched out after getting to Amazon from the SMC store. Did this register as an "SMC purchase"? Is there any way to verify that through Amazon (or SMC)?

    Thanks

Hi folks. I just noticed this 7 year old thread and went looking for the Amazon link. I didn't find it. Can you steer me to it?
    Thanks,

    Frederick,

Amazon changed the program awhile back but anything you order that includes the Northwind tag will provide us with credit for the sale.

I buy a lot from Amazon and want to support SMC. How do I do that?
Do or do not, there is no try.

    Dennis,

I don't think the Amazon link has been working for a long time. Your best bet is to become a Contributor, its just 6 bucks per year.
In another month or two we will most likely be converting to a subscription based service anyway so everyone will have to pay the annual fee to have any access here.

Amazon doesn't pay taxes so why would anyone purchase through amazon or have any type of dealings with them, kick backs or not? Here is hoping it all works out but it didn't for me the last time I was a forum contributor. The site was sold and I vowed to never be a contributor again unless the business was ran as a co-op.

Greg, standby and let me see what I can come up with for you, what size do you need?

Robert, sorry you lost faith based on your last forum membership. I get that buying a T-Shirt is a big investment and agree that you should be careful.

    An update on T-Shirts

The last time we ordered T-Shirts we had a problem with the entire order and the company went out of business before we could get the problem resolved.
Apparently they did not use the proper heat press settings so when I started wearing the first shirt the logo separated from the cloth. Since I own a heat press I decided a long time ago that I would try to re-press a shirt to see if I could correct the problem.

Greg's reminder above got me in the shop and I was able to re-press two shirts and they seem to be fine after one trip though the washer and dryer. I am not ready to proclaim success at this point, I need more time and wash and dry cycles

Greg, I would be glad to ship you one SawMill Creek t-shirt for free if you would like to be my only shirt tester and let me know if the shirt I send you meets your expectations. Send me your postal address via PM and I will ship the T-Shirt to you ASAP.
