    Thumbs up SawmillCreek Shop

Did you know you could support the Creek by shopping through Amazon?

If you're planning on making a purchase from Amazon, why not search for the item through our store?

If you're interested in browsing the store, I have pre-programmed a
search for the word "woodworking". However, you can search for any
products using the built in search box!

I added the SHOP button above, next to the Donate and Log Out links:

    Check it out!

Awesome. More excuses to spend money.

Does $ spent on here count towards our yearly membership dues?

Unfortunately no, as we don't have any way of tracking who the purchases came from on Amazon.

Aaron, how is SMC's "cut" figured out when purchasing something through Amazon? I have a fairly large purchase coming up, but it's slightly more through Amazon than getting it from another online store. But if the Creek would get a good cut from it, I'd rather do it that way so the Creek could benefit from it.

    Be well,

    Doc

Don, it's a percentage of sales on a sliding scale based on overall volume. The more sales revenue, the higher the actual income for the commission period on those sales.

What if you already have a shopping basket full before joining the forum. Will it help to access through the forum when I pull the trigger to buy?

James brings up a good point. Expanding on it, is there something we can look for when we add something to the shopping cart (or just before) that will confirm that SMC is getting the credit. Does that "northwind" deal have to be in the url? Is there something we can add to the url to make sure SMC gets credit? I know sometime it takes several clicks after searching for the item here to get to the actual item you want to buy (get to the correct seller or whatever). A guideline of how to make sure SMC gets the credit would be great.

I clicked on the link and it only brings up books and this is weird because they offer a lot of tools as well.Maybe those are through a third party?

Alright, I know it's an old thread, but...

I'd like to support the Creek with Amazon purchases, but every time I've clicked on the "shop" button, I get this screen:
    Capture.jpg
and nothing ever happens. Is there another way to do this?

I'm using Firefox 19, with several add-ons. I'm happy to take this offline.

Not all chemicals are bad. Without hydrogen or oxygen, for example, there would be no way to make water, a vital ingredient in beer.

    Daniel,

I will have to get either Jackie or Aaron to respond to your inquiry. I don't have a clue how the Amazon stuff works which is probably why is doesn't receive a lot of attention.
